Good bye?!.. nooooo

I have to say it! I’m really happy because we are getting closer to the end of the year! How cool is that… this year is all new for me, but I really like it, I love physical therapy. I hope I pass all my classes, and not only me, also all my partners!

This is my last post ¡finally! (in a good way really)… I been in English all this year ( in level 3 and now in 4), I think the blogs are really helpful for a lots of things (it’s a really nice idea) , you can improve a lot your redaction in English and it can also make you think in English… and you can talk about a lot of things, and this, I think, can help you to like “liberate” yourself in a way, because you can talk about everything you want ( in some posts) and you can express your opinion or whatever you want to.

Also in this level of English I think that you learnt a lot of technical language in your area (not specifically physical therapy, but in the interaction with you and your patient) and I think that this will help you in some occasions… like what happens if maybe you treat someone who doesn’t talk Spanish… you can talk to him/her in English and that will make feel your patient more comfortable, the patient will have more confidence with you as his/her physical therapist and it will be a “full package”. This is a really plus in the moment physical therapist/patient time.

This will be the last time I wrote in this blog, but I hope that this not be the last time I communicate with you ( my partners of English and with Mrs. Carroza), this is a good class and I hope we keep in touch!, I know we will.

STRESS? What is that?

“STRESS” have you heard that Word? Obviously, who doesn’t right? … And even more when you are in the university… the world of the stress came to you! And it will never live you if you don’t know how to handle it… there is a lot of advices that you can do for that, yoga it’s a great thing that you can do to relax yourself! When I was younger I do a lot of yoga with my mom, and was really cool! You can forget of everything and it also help you can clear your head and ideas and improve your elongation jaja, I really recommend it and if you don’t have time… I don’t know!

I never have been a “stressful girl”, never! Because I take my life reallyyyyyy relax, but this year that became more difficult, with all the tests, controls and everything! But I guess that compared with other people this year I have not been stress for more than one day or less and the feeling of that… horrible! I can’t understand people who live their whole life stressful, how can the tolerate that?

I really don’t know what is the feeling of be like “super stressful”, the closer feeling it is being “tired-stress” and what I need to stop that feeling is laugh, a lot of that, and a nice sleep! That can cure all my problems, until now at least… maybe in the future I became a stress person... who knows, but now that is a feeling that I prefer keep really away from me!

Could I sleep and learn at the same time!? :D

Hello everyone! This blog will be about something really complicated, Neuroscience.
- This information is taken from the book “The birth of a learning science”, chapter six the part of “Learn while you sleep” -
This part of the book part saying that it would be really nice if you can learn while you are sleeping, says that the original idea of this came from science fiction.
In World War II people thought that this could be really helpful for the spies, because they can learn any language and information of someone while they were sleeping.
Have been made lots of test, from different scientifics to different people, and the results was not very convincing (only one of twenty kids remember the book that was reading for them while they were sleeping), there are other studies using EEG (encephalogram), to know when the person was in a “light sleep” (when they just go to sleep or more in the morning), but this also didn’t say too much. It also says that in case of anesthetic, some people had remembers of the surgery.
Anyway, there is no reliable evidence that says that you can learn while you sleep. But says that if you study something before you go to sleep, this will help to consolidate your knowledge

I think this is a very interesting theme, because there is nothing sure about the knowledge of the brain and his operation, so everything is bases on someone’s believes or interpretation plus the results of the experiments. In this case I’m not really sure about the conclusion reached, because the experiment didn’t convince me, because in some cases exist people that remember something, maybe not all, but something is something; and that has to mean something isn’t?
I really hope in a few years we can know more about this!

A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?

Hi classmates and teacher! Today I will talk about a healthy lifestyle
But first What does it mean “healthy lifestyle”?… for me is a type of lifestyle where you have to be like 100% comfortable and feeling great with your body. And also you have to have a great alimentation and do sport. Some ones recommend that you have to do at least three times a week sport between half or one hour every day, that will help you have a healthier lifestyle. Like I said, a great alimentation (I mean eating lots of fruits, vegetable and fiber, less fat and carbohydrates, etc). A life without smoking and without be abusive with drugs can help you have a healthy lifestyle and feeling great with yourself.
But in this time is it possible to have a healthy lifestyle?
I think that now, in the XXI century it is very difficult due to all the high level of junk food (that is so good, don’t you think?) and the price of them, with all the costs that you have today like children, schools, universities, etc (in the parents case) it is so more cheap buy fried chicken with fried potatoes and a coke than buy vegetables or fish with a natural juice and also is so more easy to prepared. Stuff like this have done that the overweight in children increase in the lasts decades. But I think that if you want to have a healthy lifestyle I think that it is possible to have an excellent alimentation, I know that it will cost a little more but it will be worth it.
Another think that it is difficult to make in this time it is to do sports, with all the hectic life there is almost not time to make any sport, and less three times a week. But IF YOU WANT IT, YOU CAN. I know it is possible, you have to try harder if you think you can’t. If you want it you have to intending and you will see results! Good luck with a new healthy lifestyle! Now… I’m going to play sports and then I will eat a nice plate of salad. kitting I already do that! I hope you too!

MY FIRST DOG!

Hello everyone! How are you?
Today I will tell you about my first dog!... I think that my dogs really marked my life, because I really love them, and they make my days happier. Today I have 3 female dogs, and one of them it’s “Cuki”, my first dog!
The first time i saw her, was when we moved to my current house ( in that time i had seven years old) ; the godmother of my older brother gave it to us, she is a dalmata and now she has like 12 human years, and she is so nice... she has really funny gift, she can smile, but everyone think that she wants to bite them and that it is not true, she only shows her teeth because she wanna tell us that she is really happy.
Since the day she came my house became more nice and safe too.
She felt in love once, with a homeless dog, she was pregnant for the first time. She would have nine puppies, both were really happy ( Cuki and her “boyfriend”), but one day the dog disappeared, he never came back... our gardener told us that a truck ran over him! Cuki was super sad... she didn’t want to eat, walk, nothing. And when the puppies born, she did not want to see them. It’s was really sad, and since then I think that the dogs are really smart and the can notice a lots of thing that the humans thinks they can’t.
I wish Cuki can live for ever!... She is getting older... but i know she lived a good life.
Cuki really marked my life!

Here we are again! :D

Hi classmates! How are you? I hope you are enjoying English!
This is my first blog for this class, I hope you like it!
Today I will talk about something that I think it’s very important, that we are all involved, it’s about the environment, something that is about to happen, Today (August, 24) the COREMA of Coquimbo voted to decided that the mega thermoelectric plants it’s going to be installed near to “Punta de Choros”, even when there is like more than 25.000 signatures (between Chile and Europe) , against this decision, and knowing all the bad effects that had to the environment. Of like 18 votes only 4 were against and 14 pro this.
Punta de Choros is a national treasure, here lives de 80% of the worldwide Humboldt penguin population, it’s a ecological heritage of humanity and to the people of the COREMA that supposed that they worry about the environment, didn’t take care and vote pro the thermoelectrics, saying that our country can’t be depending of the energy of other countries, like Argentina, but I think that it is more important take care about environment, because if we don’t, sooner or later, the ecological disaster will affect to all of us, I think that more than can affect us the need to get energy, Don’t you think?
Hopefully the decision will be change and the history of our country too! The environment it’s so important to everyone and we can’t destroy it.

SEE YOOOOOOOOOU!

Hi classmates! Today is our last blog! Finally! I’m really happy, not because English will finish, but because this will give us more free time :D don’t you think? And I want to say that Francisca is a psycho. I realized of this en English, so for that tanks English.
Today I will talk about my experience in English, in the blog time.
I have to say that I never used a blog before this, so a learned a lot about blog stuff, like make friends, do post, comments, etc. I think that do the blog help us a lot, like in the “write area” and it can help you in the grammatical, but not in the spoken area, but exist other instances for talk. For me the blog help you a lot, to express your self in English about deferent themes, and alsa make you an opinion about somethigs. You also can know things of your classmates that in other occasions are difficult to know and if you still having the blog can help you keep in touche with your partners when we finish English or even the university. But I don’t know if I will still writing, it depends of a lot of things.
Theres one thing that I want to recommend on the “blog seccion” it’s that I think that the blog it’s not necessarily to be done in class, you can do it in your home and I think theres nothing different because you can used “word reference” if you don’t know how to say something. In that way English could be once a week and not two, and you will have more time for studding, for example.
That’s my opinion I hope English implement my suggestion.
